    • Arturo sings in London a concert of Mexican Music with the London Philharmonic Orchestra

    • Arturo is awarded the Don Plácido Domingo Zarzuela Prize and the Cultur Arte de Puerto Rico Prize at the Operalia 2005 in Madrid, Spain where he sings under the baton of Maestro Plácido Domingo for the first time.
    • Finishes residency at the Houston Grand Opera Studio
    • Houston Symphony Orchestra Debut with the "Fiesta Sinfónica" concert series
    • Receives the "Profile of the year" award in Sonora, given by the Healy Foundation
    • Introduced to Ramon Vargas for the first time, and a long standing friendship evolves, Vargas becomes a mentor and teacher
    • Receives the Ramón Vargas Opera Development Scholarship, awarded by Mr. Vargas and Pro Opera in Mexico

    • Houston Grand Opera role debut as BF Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly
    • San Francisco Symphony debut

    • 1st Prize and Audience Choice Award Eleanor McCollum Competition at the Houston Grand Opera
    • Winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions
    • Graduates from Boston University Opera Institute and San Francisco Merola Opera Program
    • Returns Carnegie Hall, now as a tenor, to sing Charpentier's Te Deum and Beethoven's Mass in C

    • Receives a full scholarship to attend the Boston University Opera Institute
    • Arturo receives a Conaculta International Grant
  • 2000
    • Sings in the IV Gala Latina in Mexico City, meeting Placido Domingo for the first time, who awards Arturo with the Placido Domingo Scholarship and becomes his mentor and encourages Arturo to become a tenor
    • Arturo receives a SIVAM grant
    • Mainstage debut in Mexico City's Bellas Artes in La Traviata (Marquis d'Obigny)
    • Arturo receives the Antonio Davalos Osio Special Award at the Carlo Morelli National Opera Contest
